i kinda like collecting lower condition raw cards and handling them. maybe just knowing i can't knock or ding the card to lower the value any further, so it's more enjoyable. if i was holding an NRMT t206 cobb all i'd be thinking is get it into a 2" lucite holder and off to psa/sgc immediately.

Bob, I couldn't agree more. If I had a blazing Ty Cobb, I wouldn't touch it. If I bought one for a great price, I'd buy it, grade it, sell it, and use the money to buy lower condition cards. I have a long want list, but I don't have the money to buy the SGC 90s or even the 50s.
