Uncle Jacks anyone?
I picked one of these up recently and I think the set itself has quickly made its way into one of my favorites. Would love to see scans of others that anyone here may have, as well as any info on the set...hardest cards to come by, etc.

Doesn't Dan McKee have a near-set? I'd love to see some of the cards in his collection. I only have a couple...this Ruth is one of my favorite cards.

Wow, very impressive Ruth, King. Who is the other you have? Is it graded, if so what grade?
Thanks

King,
great Ruth card. If you ever want to sell it, let me know. I need it for my set.

My other one is also a Lazzeri, but blue instead of red.
I didn't know these came in different colors. Anyone have more info? Toby?

I've never owned an Uncle Jacks card personally, but here's a Grove with a purple background from Brad Green's site:
Neat cards.

I like these cards. I don't own any, but they are really neat. Kind of remind me of E100's.

This is a very tough issue to complete. I am 5 short. I have been working on this set for 30+ years. My last 5 are: Cochrane, Grimes, Klein, Pennock, Vance. Some colors are much tougher than others. Red is the most common and Green is the toughest. My Ruth is Red, I have seen a purple one. Yes I also save the different colors, I know, I am sick. Dan.

This could almost go under the Doh! catagory. Years back these four hit EBay. I didn't enter my bid in time and Frank W. won them all for under $200. Think there was an un-opened pack on Ebay a while back too. You certainly don't see them very often...

It looks like Dan is spot on with green being the toughest...I don't think I've seen a green yet.

Thanks for that scan of a green, Gil. I scanned in my UJ last night, do they all have the bleed through look on the back??
