Running the sim

if any players that were picked can you edit team rosters and put an * by the players that can not be used...thanks

So far Puljos is the only one. I thought maybe Mariano Rivera might not be there, but he was. Good rule of thumb seems to be if the player doesn't have 10 years in the league, he's most likely not on the disk.

Turns out Gil's most recent pick also doesn't qualify for the database. Too much of his career is prior to the formation of the NL. Definitely a strong choice though.

Maybe we should put a temporary hold on the draft until we get the details with the sim worked out. That way we'll know for sure what the full rosters will look like and what positions we need to add. Knowing this info will affect how we pick in coming rounds.

In the meantime, Gil would be able to make his 2 replacement picks (for Pujols and Barnes) before any more players are taken off the board.

I just finished entering the draft as it stands. Gil is the only one thinking outside the bos, Go figure once Gil makes hi 2 picks, then we can resume the draft again. As mentioned before, you will all need 2 catchers

Jay please post the full roster positions if possible. Is it 24 players?

The roster is 24 players. The only positional requirements are each of
the infield positions and 2 catchers. Use the team roster thread to list who your starting fielders are, the order of your pitching rotation, long relief, set up and closer. You can use any OF at OF position, but if it's not his normal position, he will most likely get a POOR defensive rating.

The mix of pitchers and hitters you want is up to you.

I am also going to need a batting lineup, so when you think you have your starting 8 edit your team roster and add a batting line up to it.

Just a reminder, if you are going to draft a current player, please make sure that he has been playing since at least 1996. The disk was created in 2006, so 1996 is going to be a minimum cutoff until they come out with an update for the disk
