show me some 1930s colorful cards!!!
I'm a fan of colorful cards from the 1930s. Let's see some of them! This is a pre-WW2 site afterall, right? not pre-WW1?
Here's three to start.

The purple Goudeys are my favorite, and I don't even own one.
I keep focused, must stay focused, must not stray from from pre WW1.

Thank you!
All joking aside, that's a great looking 32 US Caramel. What a beautiful set - great, bold colors.

Thanks for the nice comments Gary. I wish other collectors on this board were also interested in gum cards from the 30s. I feel like I'm the lone American here that cares...I know there is a Canadian that cares too.

I recall Elliot working on a pretty nice Goudey set - isn't he? I haven't heard a thing about it for a whole, update E?

I'm a big fan of the Delong and Diamond Star sets. Elliot would be the resident DS expert.

I'm working on the DeLong set and am about half way on the Tattoo Orbits. I find "depression era" cards FAR more interesting than many earlier issues.

I agree in many ways.
I've got a couple DeLongs and have been working on '33 Goudey for awhile. Glad just to have a few DeLongs... I'm sure trying to complete a set has its frustrations.

Somewhat colorful when by themselves, more so when side-by-side.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread that I started...but just felt bored and wanted to post some scans of some colorful 1930s cards.

I don't have many 30's cards in my collection, but here's my hands down favorite:
Back is nice and clean; undergraded imo.

Wild Bill and Jingles
This from memory:
Oh, the Pops are sweeter and the taste is too
They're shot with sugar through and through
Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops
Sugar Pops are tops!
Couldn't beat the taste of the milk after the Sugar Pops had soaked in it for awhile.
