The set really does exist. The artist copyrighted at the bottom of the reverse of that card, Mike Mandel, created the set as somewhat of a joke, apparently. See the following link:

Lord only knows how they got Ansel Adams into full catcher's gear, but that definitely appears to be him. He did famously take a picture of a pickup baseball game at the Manzanar interment camp for the Japanese during World War II, so maybe that's why he was willing to join in. According to the link above, the set (somewhat ironically, given the creator's intent) has become quite valuable. An interesting oddity, but I think I'll save my money to finish The Monster.
