I just wanted to say a quick "hello" to everybody. My name is Bill. I'm new, though I already know some of you from Net 54. I figure one can never meet enough cool hobbyists, so I've decided to lurk no longer. Smile

Just a quick background on me. I'm a 42 year old stock broker, and I've been a baseball fan for as long as I can remember. I started reading about Nap Lajoie, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson and Ty Cobb pretty much as soon as I could read. I started collecting pre-war and vintage cards about a year ago, and this has easily been the most enjoyable year of my life from a hobby standpoint.

Like many newbies, the T206 set initially grabbed my attention, and I've started collecting it. I'm also collecting the '33 and '34 Goudey set. I really like the Cracker Jack sets, the American Caremel cards, and the Exhibit sets, just to name a few. I'll dabble in these while also working on my vintage and modern collection.

Welcome aboard, Bill! Glad that you made move from lurker to status. It's always nice to have new voices on the board. Feel free to post what you like.

Our motto, there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers. The core of the board has mostly collectors that have been at it for 10+ years so there is a strong knowledge base. Myself, I'm nearing the 35 year point in the hobby.

If there's one thing I hate more than shaving, it's the feeling of facial hair. It makes me itchy.
