T206 Plank - Graded Reprint

Accepting that I'll never spend for any of "The Big 4", I have an SGC 98 Wagner reprint for my collection, but I've never seen a Plank reprint graded - have you?

If I just send in any old one, do you think SGC would grade it?

The only Wagner Reprints I have seen graded (by reputable companies at least) are the ones that were issued by Mastronet, when they sold the PSA 8 Wagner a few years back. I won a lot or two in that auction and they sent me one of those Wagner reprints with my winnings.

It probably has to be some "official" reprint like those I mentioned - I think they were produced by Topps for the auction (if I remember correctly - I sold mine on eBay for 10 or 15 bucks, so I don't have it to reference). You might should call SGC and ask them on this one, as I don't know what to say.

Scott, taking a look at SGC and PSA reprints on ebay it does appear that you are correct.



Although I am not sure what makes these, or those produced by Bowman, Upper Deck or Topps any more legitimate than those produced by Fritsch, Dover or a whole lot of others.
