The wife made me a German chocolate cake from scratch, frosting and all. Sadly, she has to go to band practice tonight. They have a gig on Friday (the really party will be there) and their bass player quit on them yesterday. They found a replacement and need to get a night of practice in before the gig so the bass player has some idea what to play. Mona said he's one of the best bass players in the Twin Cities and plays by ear, so that's a good thing.
