Larkin is in the HOF
Not surprising to me, but the big jump in votes is. Morris also made a huge jump in votes and is less than 50 votes away. No one has been that close and not gotten in. McGwire got fewer votes again which doesn't bode well for the upcoming class of Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, Mike Piazza, Craig Biggio and Curt Schilling.

they had to vote someone in and larkin was it (well deserved).
bonds and clemens should get in eventually...bonds should really be a 1st ballot

Absolutely thrilled that Larkin made it. He was my favorite non-Red Sox player growing up and it was by accident. My best friend's favorite player was Eric Davis and not wanting to seem uncool, I decided on Larkin in 1988. At the time Davis looked to be the future HOFer, funny how things change.

So true. In the late 80s Davis, Strawberry and Canseco looked like locks for the HOF.

strawberry was my absolute favorite player growing up. i was thrilled he signed with the dodgers. what a total disappointment that was.
