Help with 1941 Play Ball Dimaggio

I have a guy trying to sell me a 1941 Play Ball Dimaggio. Any help would be appreciated to half way authenticate the card.

The usual bought them at an estate sale, no guarantee. Guys says he is willing to sell reasonable cuz he collects tobacco cards and nothing else. Take a look at the scans and tell me what you think.

Stay far far away. The Dimaggio, as well as all the Ruths, are fake. You can tell by the color and texture of the card stock. With them being sold ungraded and with no guarantee, you'd literally be flushing your money down the toilet on those.

These are some digital pics that he sent me before I asked for a scan. The scan that he sent was 4 cards in one pic and then I cropped the pic to show only one card at a time.

having never owned a '41 pb this still looks pretty bad and consistent with reprints from other issues...faded pastel colors instead of the deep, original tone. the print dot patterns extending not just on the photo itself but all the way to the "white" border. if he's a true tobacco collector he should know better.

Looks like a laser jet reprint, if he collects Tobacco cards and can't tell if it's real or not tell him to go wipe his a$$ with it and then go (*&^ himself.
