V61 Nielson's Chocolate value compared with the E120 America
Ok from what I've gathered the e120s are a lil tougher than its Canadian counterpart? So what kind of value can we expect from Neilsons? Is it kinda like the '33 Goudeys with the WWG issue?
Oh yea I know there are 2 types within the Neilson's also...although I have no idea of the difference!

Use to be that the E120's were really more plentiful than the V61's. A couple of recent "finds" of V61's have scewed the numbers. The E120's are still more plentiful, but have more people now collecting the set. Fritsch use to have well over a hundred E120's for sale in almost all of his catalogs. The V61's are still somewhat scarcer (though the margin closed a little with the recent finds), and usually sell for less due to E120's being collected on a wider scale.

it's like 33WWG cards. The WWGs are tougher to find, but sell for less than regular Goudeys because more people collect the cards relative to availability

Quan, I know this one b/c I use to buy VG range horizontals from the E120 set for around $15-$30 each. When they started selling for outrageous amounts, luckily I had a few left and sold around a half dozen in the $200+ range!
Until the set collectors started competing for the E120's they were plentiful and CHEAP! I cannot complain, as I made some nice $$$ selling the ones I had left (that didn't sell the year before I sold them for 1/10 the price!!!!).
Edited to add that Jay is correct. It seems when any Vintage set has a Canadian counterpart, the Canadian set is always rarer and cheaper! :study:
