Pray for Mona

Typing from her phone here in Detroit. We had to take her into the hospoital early this morning with severe head, back and kidney pain. Not sure what is wrong with her. They have her on IV and meds for the pain. Hoping she'll be healthy to leave on Monday like planned.

Could it be kidney stones perhaps? That sounds like the areas of pain I have when it befalls me periodically.

Finally got word. They thought it was kidney stones but they said it was sevre dehydration. She's went through 3 bags of IV fluid and is pain free now so it looks like we can get back to having fun. We missed out on the Tigers game though. Guess I'll have to catch game there some other time since some things are more important baseball games or cards. Got that Quan?

Wow...glad to hear she is ok, why was she so dehydrated.

I remember someone saying, if you had a choice of having a weeks worth of food or a weeks worth of water which would you survive the longest and the answer is you could live a long time without food but your body needs water more than anything and would not make it 3-4 days.

Good news jay you dont have to tell me twice. Some people take this stuff way too seriously.

Elliot, I'm not sure that's been completely ruled out.

We are back safe and sound. Mona managed to get so dehydrated because when we drove out to Detroit she decided she was going to be nice and not drink a lot of water so we wouldn't be stopping all the time. Well, got to Detroit and instead of drinking water we started on the alcohol. That continued on Friday and Saturday and she figured her headache was from too much drinking. By Sunday morning she thought she was going to die and in a lot of pain. After a few IV bags and some pain drugs she was good to go.

On the drive home today she made sure she was drinking lots of water and we made lots of stops. Also managed to cut over 2 hours off our drive time by ignoring mapquest and going nowhere near Chicago. Going out there, it took us 4 hours to go the 110 miles from Milwaukee to Gary, IN. I also got a picture of a giant chicken on the roadside just for Lee.

Glad to hear she's ok Jay, you party animal. You can't say you got a pic of a giant chicken without posting it here, c'mon!

I need to upload the photos so it won't happen until tomorrow or Wed. Have to go to St Cloud to VA hospital for my annual physical.

Glad everything turned out ok! Gotta say, with my sense of humor, giant chicken is just begging for a dirty innuendo (of the "large male chicken" variety)!
