Ken Burns' Baseball 10-DVD set...$32
Shop PBS has the Ken Burns Baseball Documentary 10-disc DVD Set for $50 - 20% off automatic discount - 20% off code PBS525 = $32. Shipping is $6 for one, then $2 more for each additional set up to 3, then $1 more for 4.
My first useful post on this forum...only took a couple years...costs about the same as a PR t206 hof'er. put some stories and historical background to the faces, you'll feel (even)closer to your cards.

Cool! Thank you, Quan. I saw some of that series ten years ago and could use a refresher.
It's shameful to mention this, but Ken Burns and I share an alma mater; Hampshire College in Western Mass. It's a hippie school, but every once in a while someone with their head screwed on straight manages to pass through (I'm referring to Ken on this, not necessarily myself!)
Well I'm sure it'll take at least a year before I have my first useful post, and I've only been here a month, so I'm sorry but you guys will have to suffer!

cool glad i could help out. surprisingly some people that collect pre-war stuff don't even enjoy history or watch the modern baseball game. that's weird to me because they all intertwine imo.

Great documentary, I'd be all over that if I didn't already own it. Thanks for the heads up.
Also Quan, mark me down as another vintage collector who enjoys his history AND watches the modern game avidly

Dang! Says it is temporarily out of stock
I was a contributor to the project but I got the book, not the tapes, which I would have preferred. Looks like a good thing since I'd rather have DVDs than VHS tapes. Wonder if the clearance means they will be making a blu-ray version?
