It's really too bad that they only let Judge go to the plate with an ice cream cone.

Man, You have some beautiful Goudey's
I'm almost ashamed to play this lower condition one.
But it has sentimental value, as I bought it for my stepfather (RIP) at a show back in the 80's.
He worked with Glenn as a stevedore

Don't ever be ashamed of your collection - especially when they have a story along with them! A couple of my favorite cards are ones that have been well loved over the years.
It's times like this that I wish I had more diversity in my collection. I have to keep going back to the Goudey well in order to play. I'm kind of a one trick pony with players from the 30s.

Oh, I'm not ashamed of the card, it's just you are playing minty goudeys and it's the only play I had.
The card is special to me and I like it in the condition it's in.
By the way that Gehrig is a gem, very nice

Looks like a great card that has been well loved to me. No shame in that at all.

Here is the Gehrig I used to own from the famous William Orsatti collection
Re: Vintage Card Match Game 4.0 - Round 2
A few years back, at a card show, I saw a '33 Goudey Gehrig, which would have been a 4-5, however, some enterprising young man had used a magnifying glass (Im assuming) to burn a hole right through Lou's Head! The head was completely gone, except for the burnt remnants of his neck! Talk about a sad card collector! I couldnt believe it!

just don't buy the ones I need. Unless of course you are chasing them in 50s or higher. Then they are all yours.
