We have a pennant race on our hands. At the 3/4 marker of the season there is a 3 way tie first in one of the divisions.

I just scanned the injury log, Walter Johnson has been injured for 40 games We have ourselves a pennant race Icon_eek My pitching staff has been hit by the injury bug too. And so much for the quality start stat. Schilling is among the league leaders there and in WHIP yet he has a 8-14 record. My relievers must not be doing their job.

The Stallions will make several adjustments for the fourth quarter of the season. We will go to a four man rotation:
1. Alexander
2. Grove
3. Seaver
4. P. Martinez
Roberts will make spot starts as needed.
The lineup will remain the same.
The major change is a calculated risk that could go either way but seems to favor the home squad. For the final quater of the season, the Stallions will be moving to Coors Field (1998).

I haven't gotten any pitching out of modern guys, so its time for something different.

Pitching seems to be a problem league wide.

Not for the Pirates, I sent them a couple who wouldn't pitch for me; but they pitched well for him.

2. Seaver
3. P. Martinez
4. Grove

Bullpen
1. Roberts---Long/Middle Relief & Spot Starter
2. Smoltz---Long/Middle Relief
3. Quisenberry---RH Set-up
4. Lyle---LH Set-up
5. Gossage---Closer

The lineup will change to:
1. Speaker CF
2. Foxx 1B
3. Williams LF
4. Piazza C
5. Ott RF
6. Killebrew 3B
7. Griffey DH
8. Kent 2B
9. Ripken SS

Bench
1. G. Sheffield
2. S. Crawford
3. C. Jones
4. L. Doyle
5. I. Rodriguez
6. J. Cronin
7. D. Bichette

The Stallions have picked up Dante Bichette to teach the boys how to hit at Coors field. He takes the place of the player I lost in the Piazza deal.

The major change is a calculated risk that could go either way but seems to favor the home squad. For the final quater of the season, the Stallions will be moving to Coors Field (1998).

My lineup now becomes:

2B - Rod Carew
OF - Chino Smith
OF - Babe Ruth
OF - Willard Brown
1B - Mule Suttles
DH - John Beckwith
3B - Jud Wilson
C - Gabby Hartnett, Bill Dickey (L/R platooned)
SS - Pop Lloyd

and my starting pitchers, in any rotation which the Sim is ok with, are:

SP - Willie Foster
SP - Tim Keefe
SP - John Clarkson
SP - Carl Hubbell
SP - Mickey Welch
SP - Jim Palmer
SP - Bert Blyleven
SP - John Donaldson

my relief pitchers and closers remain unchanged -

relief:
RP - Hoyt Wilhelm
RP - Jesse Orosco

closer:
RCL - Mariano Rivera
LCL - John Franco

Thank you for tolerating this confusion, and good luck in the race. (to everyone) ........ I'm pulling up an easy chair, and enjoying popcorn

I am curious, is The Riddler's Willie Foster, the same as my Bill Foster? I want to know if he is two timing to plan with the whitey's. Serious consequences if this is the case. We have ourselves a pennant race 327310

I'm not sure, Lee. But as Jay indicated, Willie never actually made it onto our roster.
