TRADED! 1912 Stetson Hat's Team PC Philly A's
PC HAS BEEN TRADED
is this very rare 1912 Sepia-toned real-photo advertising postcard, picturing the 1911 World Champion Philadelphia Athletics. This Post card measures: 5.5 x 3.5 inches. This PC was issued as a promotion for Stetson hats, and it has a Stetson's advertisement for Kaplan's in Germantown, PA. on the back. 22 members of the 1911 World Champion A’s are pictured, including manager Connie Mack, Eddie Plank, Chief Bender, and all four members of the club’s fabled $1,000,000 infield: Frank Baker, Eddie Collins, Jack Barry, and Stuffy McInnis.
A similar postcard sold in last year's REA auction for $800 + BP ($940), but it was only graded an SGC 20. This one is a very sharp SGC 40. When REA auctioned their's in April 2009, they stated that it was the only example they had ever handled, and everyone knows the quality of cards they handle. This is an extremely rare PC that is hardly ever offered for sale. This one also differs from the REA offered PC by the fact that it has a Stetson advertising back.
TRADED!!!!
Payment by check, MO, and Paypal (with no additional fees) accepted.
If interested please email me at: crazylocomerk@yahoo.com
If TRADING, I'm looking for HOFers (especially Wagner/Cobb/Matty/Johnson/Young), or any scarce 19th Century/Tobacco/Caramel/Bakery cards.
Thanks for looking.
