Rare T207's on Ebay
Was anyone watching this T207 Lot ? I'm not a T207 collector but I know there are a few rarities in there (especially the Irving Lewis).
Thoughts on the cards and the final price?

Pretty high price for an lot of beat up cards, especially the one torn in half. If they were T206s I would say reprint but hte T207s have an odd stock, but they sure look odd.

I agree...
Don't think they are real but unless you have them in your hand you never know. The seller does not deal with baseball cards much.

i'd expect more cracking from such horrible conditioned t207s...but anyone who drops 1g+ should've done some research into their authenticity first, would really suck if they're repros.

As fake a $3 with Dubbya on it. There is no evidence of gloss or crazing (correct term for the cracking on the surface ). The one heavily warped card reeks of being dipped and toasted.
I've been staying away from eBay because I don't have the funds to buy anything at right now. Gotta pay for a play ticket for my son to come home for Xmas

You guys are paranoid.
They're real and the Irv Lewis is top 5 (at least) toughest in the set. The Peters is pretty tough too. The Bushelman ripped in half was just a throw away as the bids were just to get the lewis which could've been worse.
They did look strange as if they had some water damage in the past, but not fake. I wish I could've won that lot, but a couple guys battled for it at the end.

T207s
Apologies for bringing up a slightly old thread - just (re)joined the forum after having been away for a whlile (or not having lurked for a while). I also thought those four were real, though they'd been through the wringer (maybe literally). Better scans could have helped sway opinions one way or another. That said, I thought the sell $$ was a bit on the high side.
The same seller sold a pair of Weavers (BL, Cycle) later that also went for way more than maybe they should have ... or maybe more than I thought they would.
Hmm...
