What Happened?

To Manny Ramirez last season? He was BRS clean up hitter, and an important part of the team, yet only got 61 ABs, then apparently disappeared. I see no record of an injury in the Sim log. He was hitting poorly, but others (such as Hartnett) were too and got 10x the ABs.

What happened?

Upon a second look - it appears that he got 61 at bats in 63 games .... ?

i am trying to build a different team than last year. We will see if it works. I don't know why he only had 61 AB...maybe an injury?

It appears that Manny Ramirez as well as Christy Mathewson were used by the computer in replacement (pinch hitter and reliever) roles because their starting status was not specified.

Can the Sim be trusted to make pinch hitting choices based on the situattion?
For example, some players on my bench are particularly good at hitting a home run, others are more capable of getting on base, delivering a hit, etc. In a "HR needed" situation, can the Sim determine the best pinch hitter to select?
