I went with the N300 Mayo Cap Anson portrait. Although probably not the most valuable from the group
just by going off image alone, it's the best. A very classy card from a beautiful set.

I too went with the N300 Mayo Anson. I'm not a big fan of 19th century cards, but I do like the Mayo's. I'd own one just to have the type card.

I'd also like to own a Kalamazoo Bats card just for the sheer value of the card.

I chose the n690 Kalamazoo bats simply because it screams baseball, just look at that old plate and stadium the rest are just head shots. What fun is that!

Nothing beats a classic HOF portrait in my opinion. I would take one over an action pose anyday......

I also love the Kalmazoo Bats for alot of the same reason, it seams to capture baseball of that era, add an umpire and it would be a near perfect baseball photo of the era for me.

Insert this ump into the Bats photo and then I have it.

I'd take the Gypsy Queen Von der Ahe, though I'd prefer a Lone Jack. That card is actually near the top of my want list since Von der Ahe is one of the colorful characters in St. Louis baseball history. Chances are I'll just get an OJ one, but I'd love a tougher brand.

K-Bat here. As pointed out, it just screams baseball from that era. You get a shot of the players, equipment and a stadium.

I'd take the Beckley since he fits into my collecting focus - he played for Lincoln in 1886...one of the few Hall of Famers to play here.

I voted N321 just because it's one of my all time favorite sets, but if I had all these cards laid out on a table infront of me, I'd probably go for the Kalamazoo Bats. A wonderfully detailed 19th century baseball scene, and the two player pose makes it even more desirable.

Follow up question: How would you rank these cards in terms of scarcity?
