Picked up some R337 Eclipse Imports

Hey Guys. Just FYI everyone is welcome to start their own threads for pickups, we don't have to stuff everyone's pickups in one monthly thread.

I picked up a lot of 5 R337's from a fellow collector. This set doesn't get very much attention at all, but there are some cool poses and 2-player action cards that make it a neat set to collect. Tough cards to find too.

Nice cards Ben - I really like the horizontal Dykes Sliding card!

Definitely one of the ugliest sets ever made. It includes a gorilla that is listed as Babe Ruth. I have a r337 I'm looking to move if you are interested.

For some reason, I have always liked the "cartoonish" cards like these and the Buchner Gold Coins from the 19th Century. I have always preferred "cartoonish" colorful cards over the ones with B&W photos. However, I know they aren't popular with the "majority", but to each his own!

I'm with Scott. I know most think the R337s are ugly, and I realize the drawings are pretty crude, but I think they have a unique quality to them. Especially action/2 player cards like the Bartell and Dykes pictured in my initial post. I also like the Buchner Gold Coins. Is it the type 3 Gold Coins that have images unique to each player? I know the majority are generic, but some of them are unmistakably resemblant of the players (I thought it was the type 3's but I could be wrong).
