E105 Mello Mints
Hi,
Since mello mints are not very popular, there is no price guide for them. How much would this evers card sell for?

(Hunt Auctions listed it's internet auction today)

it's not a popularity issue imo, they're just so scarce most collectors just shy away from them...except maybe 1-2 as types. if there's a big group 15-20+ being offered you'd see some huge prices...kinda like the e106s although I feel the e105s are much more attractive.

I'm meant that they are not as popular as the t206's. These are my second favorite cards next to t205's.

Why does this seller's feedback indicate a lifetime negatives of 2
With a "last 12 months" negative feedback = 6?

I think he received multiple negatives from the same buyer, only 1 shows up for each buyer, just like positives.
Until now, I think eBay changed the system, but it's only good for a year at a time? Not too sure on the specifics of that.

Some of the e105's are rarely if ever seen. I think the images that are hard to find in the e105 issue will always sell for huge money. You will see the Wagner batting pose frequently, but there is only one Wagner throwing pose known to exist from this issue. The cards are so thin, you can see through them in the light. I am surprised any of them still exist 100 years later.

I read somewhere that all e105's had creases down the middle because they were folded in half before put in the gum pack. I see lots of them without creases.

Re: E105 Mello Mints
A few years back, there were a couple of finds of Mello Mints without the creases. Before that, most were found with the crease down the center of the card.

Re: E105 Mello Mints
The most common cards in the set are Lajoie, Young and Bescher. Mark Macrae's find from around 1989 was loaded with these cards. All cards from his find were crease free. As Scott mentioned, prior to this, almost all known M-Ms had a crease down the middle.

Jack Knight is another easier player. Lajoie, Young, Bescher, Knight are much more plentiful and tend to be the only ones without the crease down the center.

I was thinking Knight was part of that group too but didn't mention it because I wasn't real sure.
I dug out this old relic, my only full page ad in SCD. Hartsell was another plentiful card from that find, but not nearly on the level of the 4 mentioned.

From my searching, Iv've seen many Cy Youngs. There's one on ebay for $4.500.

Here is my only one, for my type collection. It's a Jack Knight.
My scanner sucks, so you can't really see the true beauty of this card.
