So I went on a Bender....
....and came out with this group of Chiefs to kick off my player set (scan is missing only a T213-2).
They came as a result of a number of trades and purchases from fellow board members. Thank you Scott F, Johnny, Chris B, Brian T, and Brian M. Cards finally arrived today, very pleased!
Add these to the E104 Nadja that I already own, and I'm at a modest 7 cards into my player set.
Grades on the cards:
T213-1 SGC 30
T213-2 SGC 40 (not in scan)
T214 Victory SGC 30
T215 Red Cross SGC 40
W600 Sporting Life SGC 50
D304 Weber SGC 40
E104-1 Nadja SGC 30 (not in scan)

Re: So I went on a Bender....
There were actually two Brians, sometimes it's tough to keep track with all the Brians in the hobby, there are a bunch! Thank you mr. Terjung.
Next two cards I'm trying to track down are:
T204 Ramly
E95 Phila Caramel
But obviously I wouldn't turn down the opportunity to pick up anything pre-1920 Bender.

Great cards Ben. Those are not your everyday Benders.

All nice cards, but the Sporting Life portrait is spectacular.

Those are great Ben. Nice collection. I like how you've gotten them all in a collage like that for display here.
Re: So I went on a Bender....
WOW - A beautiful group of VERY TOUGH Benders! The E95 and T204 will be easy to find, compared to these.

Re: So I went on a Bender....
Thanks guys, I'm a big fan of the Louisiana T sets, so I'm thrilled to have the coupons, red cross, and victory. All that's left is the T213-3 and the T216's.....Mino/VE backs....yikes
I recall selling off some Bender cards in the past few years....D359, T330, 1914 CJ, E101...wish I had em back now!
Player sets are fun, gives you a clear direction and a sample of many interesting vintage sets. Bender has a freekin ton of cards, so the journey definitely won't be short (and likely won't end in completion, hello E107).
How many Bender possibilities are there with T206's alone, when you factor in the three poses with all the backs?

Re: So I went on a Bender....
There was someone else that used to collect Bender cards. Can't seem to remember who that was though. Had always thought about doing just his cards since is a native Minnesotan.

Yes - have not heard to much from Johnny lately (I believe his handle was Chiefbenderforever).

Yes, that's who I acquired the T215 from. From what I've gathered, he has sold off pretty much his entire Bender collection now....he had a bunch of tough t206 backs and some other cool stuff like a Ju Ju.
Brian - don't do me like that bro!
Re: So I went on a Bender....
Oh man, love that PC Jeff! Would like to make you an offer if it ever becomes available.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: So I went on a Bender....
That is a serious bad hairdo that Mr Bender has in the PC but otherwise a real beaut.
Ben, The T206 Bender Cycle 460 should not be as bad as most Cycle 460s since it appears to be one of the more common Cycle 460s.

Yeah, hope so Lee, but aren't all tougher backed t206's going for stoopid money right now?

Jim, he doesn't need to track them down, he knows where they are now.
