Galasso Reprints
I normally only want original cards but for the price I couldn't turn them downhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=200548073836&si=hlu43JdqQMR8VYjHDgFkj%252Bfk%252Br4%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT
120 of the Galasso reprints for 6.50 shipped...thats around a nickel per card!
Being as the Galasso cards were printed sometime in the eighties I thought this was a fair enough deal.

Re: Galasso Reprints
my advice now is not to buy any reprints...but way back when i bought a set of these when starting out and thought they were the coolest thing ever. like 500+ pictures of these old-timers with all these fancy backs packed into one box. would be so cool to own 520 real ones in G-VG and just package them in a cigar box like the old days.

I strongly recommend staying away from reprints. They are definitely not investments. Stick with those lovely original beaters.

I already bought these because of the give-away price. I figured I would leave the sheets intact and maybe frame them for my wall. I am continuing on with my search for original beater cards.
T206, T202, '33 Goudey, Double Play and '41 Play Ball are the ones I am sticking to.

Post Scriptum: I am storing my original cards in an old wooden "Bell's Shoe Peg" cigar box from the turn of the previous century It seems fitting.

They would look nice framed - that I agree. Plus, no worries about deterioration or other problems from displaying them.
Re: Galasso Reprints
sometime in the 90s I bought a reprint 206 set and put it in a binder in alphabetical order so I could see all the card sand cross them off my list as I chased the set-still got 21 holes.
I haven't looked at that binder in at least 6 or 8 years-I don't even know where it is-I guess I should pass that on to a collector that is new to the set.
