New ones for my T206 collection!
I think I got a pretty decent price for this card if the photo is any indication.
I collect hardworn beater "Rat Cards" and this may be the best looking one so far!

It adds character to the cards. My first T206 was Speaker and it had it's back ripped off, and my first Cobb had a big old hole in it I've never been able to explain.
They both got SGC 10s amazingly though.

Thank U I am very proud of 'em and the condition isn't a factor, I just want all the cards I can get from the historic set for under 20 bucks per card if possible (I gave ten or so for most cards).
I'm also collecting detached T202 panels and beat up '33 Goudey and '41 Double Play but The Monster is the set I am most in love with.

I couldn't agree more. When I first started collecting I got some of the most awful looking T206s you could find. Holes, scrap book backs, severe creases, etc. I could not care less. I was so happy just to have them. I felt like I owned a piece of (then-90-year-old) history and was thrilled to death. Now I'm relying on third-party-graders, using magnifiers, and passing on well-priced, affordable beaters of legendary cards.
Ugh. What happens to us collectors?

I HOPE that doesn't happen to me......but it probably will I have just branched out to collecting these pre-war cards from 32 years of comic book collecting. When I started out I was a kid and would buy ANYTHING with Superman in it and now I only buy Superman collected volumes for reading and for collecting I only buy Pedigreed Comic Books so I have gotten a bit ticky in that field.

Modified '29 Ford cowl with a mid-twenties Willys windshield and homemade body panels. We are building the bed out of a '48 Chevy bed cut down to 20". Building it outta scrap parts similar to how my baseball card collection is being built.
Thanks for the compliments on both

Re: New ones for my T206 collection!
I'm breaking a rule of mine, sandmountainslim. I'm going to try and give you some advice.
Everyone stand back. A disaster is about to happen. lol
The cost of a traditional auction (REA, Goodwin, Legendary, Huggins & Scott, Hunt, etc.) is somewhat higher than eBay. In the case where it is a live auction, time is also a valuable commodity.
Because of this they often take low-mid grade T206s (often with stars and HOF players) and put them into bulk lots. I like to call these "dump lots" because it isn't cost effective for them to auction the cards individually or in smaller groups.
Often these lots sell for far less than what the totality of the cards in the lot would sell for. This has been an effective way for set collectors to get a multiples simultaneously, or for enterprising collectors to break up the lot and sell them individually on eBay. However, someone for you with an interest in T206s where condition isn't a factor, this might be a way for you to pick up some star players in the low-to-mid grade much cheaper than if you were to hunt them indiivdually.
Just my advice. Be forewarned, I've led many down the path to ruin!

I think the advice of buying a lot (or lots) at auction is sound advice. However, the auction houses you mentioned seem unlikely as sources of cards for $20 or less per subject. I'm sure there are other auctions where those kind of lots can be had, but I doubt it from the likes of REA, Goodwin, etc.

Like the "bulk auction" idea. Something to look into
I may have just bought the Beater of ALL Beaters for under two bucks!
Enjoy its glory
