Why so much?

a few possibilities
my two cents.
1. It's Ray Chapman, who of course has some notoriety as the only player to die due to injuries suffered in a major league game after being hit by a pitched ball from Carl Mays in 1920.
2. It may or may not be his last card (I don't know)--it is not an m101-4/5, but a 1917 E135 Blank back.
3. Blank backs from this set are scarcer than Collins-McCarthy, Standard Biscuit, Weil or Boston Store, although I have never noticed a significant if any premium attached.
4. There may be shilling--nearly all of the high bids are coming from ebayers with feedbacks of 10 or less.

Re: Why so much?
Wonder why people don't consider Mike Powers' death to be related to an on-the-field injury? I would certainly say Powers died from an on-the-field injury myself.
