Roll of 2008 & 1999 Silver Eagle Coins - 1 oz Silver
Howdy,
I know these are not cards but some here might collect coins.
I have US Mint rolls of 20 - 2008 & 1999 Unc. Silver Eagle coins for sale, they each contain 1 oz. of silver.
ALL SOLD!

Thanks,
Sean

Hi Sean
We'll let it fly this time but for future reference, we'd like to keep the BST limited to cards or baseball related memorabilia only.
Your participation in BST and on the site in general is very much appreciated - believe me. We'd just rather not set a precedent for allowing future non-card/memorabilia related listings on the BST.
Thanks

I really don't have a problem with it. It's sort of what "everything else" should cover. Most of us do collect more than one thing and non-sports/non-card stuff really shouldn't be an issue.

If people don't have an issue with it, then thats fine. Right now it's not a problem. I think if it gets out of hand in the future with the non-card/non-memorabilia stuff, we'll need to draw a line. We don't want the BST to become a flea market.
Thanks for the PM Sean, it's appreciated.

I see no problem with it either - seems to be in the correct category.
BTW - I sold all my silver (I had bought when Silver was under $4/oz.) when it reached $12. However, I have been buying some more lately (making sure I pay under $16/oz. for it), as I believe it will be over $20/oz. very shortly with Chinese demand.

OK since the other guys don't see a problem, please ignore my initial response. I probably overreacted. Sorry Sean. Good luck with the sale.

Don't worry Ben. I remember on Net 54, I listed some coins in the "other" category and Leon quickly deleted my post. Again, I don't think there is anything wrong with coins (or anything else for that matter) to be listed in the "other" category, as many of us collect/invest in other areas outside of cards.

Thanks Guys.
I told Ben he could delete it if he likes, I would really have no problem and understand if he did (I like everyone else don't want to start something of a flea market here).
Scott about silver prices, I see them have a much better chance of going to $20 - $25 than gold hitting $1000.
Thanks again!

I have to agree with you Sean. Guess that is why I have bought a lot of silver myself lately. I am going to set on what I have now b/c I am out of extra cash to spend. If I wasn't, I would probably buy your silver eagles, as you are selling them at a nice price (I have five I paid a little over $21 each for - they are the second year eagles).

Here's a great site for undated Silver/Gold prices every day. It is the one I use. I started buying silver when it was under $16/oz. this time around. It is over $17 in a few short days from when I started. Think I will sell when it jumps to over $20/oz. shortly!

Not that anybody cares, but it is neck and neck on this race: Gold is at $960.1 and Silver is at19.3 right now.

I sold a bit more today (most of it) and will probably sell the rest if/when it hits the $20 mark...I also saw Scott sold a few rolls a few days ago.
Percent wise silver is still a better buy, but prices are getting a bit crazy...I would find it hard to buy in right now.
