The Other Curse of the Bambino.
Charlie Comiskey/Chris Von der Ahe were first to establish their club as a dynasty, winning their league pennant four consecutive years.
Not an easy task to achieve, as shown by John McGraw's Giants being the next to achieve four consecutive pennants in the 20s.
But Ruth did not ever propel his team to this level of performance. As a matter of fact, once he left the Yankees (in 1935) Gehrig and Dimaggio produced four pennants in a row 1936-1939 (Gehrig's last partial year).
Then beginning in 1949,l the Yanks embarked on a five consecutive World Series streak which has never been approached.
What was with Ruth?

Re: The Other Curse of the Bambino.
The Yankees hadn't yet turned the Browns into their farm team, so they weren't loaded with stars like the teams from the 30s on.
