1930s Unopened Box and Pack Find

Amazing find. The 1929 Star Player Candies are the highlight with 4 Ruths and the previously unknown Walter Johnson card. All in their original packaging too! Also interesting to see that the original box in which they were contained is labeled "Dockman's of Baltimore".

Johnson is known in the 1928 SPC set - he is listed on the SGC set registry anyhow, with one card graded - I would love to see an image of the '28 Johnson to see if it has the same pic as the newly discovered '29 issue.

I guess it is also possible that SGC has a '29 Johnson graded, but they mislabeled it as a '28. I think that has happened with Lou Gehrig, as he is listed in the 1928 set, but has never been found from that issue - only the 1929's...

I don't know about the Walter Johnson. On the Gehrig, I understand it is a 1929 because there is a number on the back and words. The 1928 set, IIRC, are blank backs.
