"Watermarking" scans
How do people feel about marking their scans before posting? Some people put text on their scans to identify the owner/company, but not many people seem to do it. It seems like a good idea - keep scammers from selling cards they don't own - but it does take extra work to edit and re-save each scan. Why do or don't you do it? Does it bother you when scans are marked? Other views?

Re: "Watermarking" scans
I've never tried it, and I'm not sure I'd know how to watermark. But I can see the benefit of watermarks for protecting images of scarce/valuable cards. For the more common stuff, not so much.

I don't care if people steal my scans, just my avatar.

Ben, an easy way to mark a picture is to open it with Microsoft Paint, click the transparent background button (circled in red below), then select the text button and type. Remember to do a Save As so you don't overwrite your original scan.

I have always thought it was a great idea on high ticket items. I always liked the guys that had the duck for a "watermark".
