My Stepfather after graduating from Ole Miss was signed by the Braves and Pitched 2 Years (1954/55) for the Meridan Millers a Class C Minor League team in the Cotton States League.

The Home field of the Millers was Buckwalter Stadium on the outskirts of Meridan Miss.
The Millers moved to Vicksburg after the 1955 season and to my knowledge this stadium has not been used for Baseball since then. The best I can assertain is that this field was used for minor league baseball from 1937-1955.

Whats left is sitting on some vacant land that is for sale, so the remants of this old park is about to become swallowed up in the Mississippi Woods. My brother just made a trip to visit this old Baseball relic after discovering some pictures on the Internet.

Here's some pictures of Buckwalter Stadium as it looks today.

I'm sold !

This is where (I vote) we should hold the Full Count Oldtimers Game.
Any shots of the infield?
