Kevin -
I'd be leery of any card pre 1960 that resided in a Psa-10 holder, and on top of that it's a Mantle to boot.

Appears to be a couple of printer spots and the upper right seems dog eared from the scan. Have seen this issue much so not too familiar wtih the set.

Definately. Spock would be jealous. A five-figure disaster courtesy of the good folks at PSA.sabrjay wrote:Holy bat eras, Batman.

Upper right corner looks really bad and the lower right one looks hinky

You're always buying the holder with cards graded gem mint.
Exactly.

Kevin,
Does the line on the top of the card, on the back scan, suggest the top has been trimmed? I thought I remembered that tip from reading one of your articles in the past.
Thanks,
AndyH

It's usually not a good sign. If it doesn't run along the entire edge it can be attributed to rail damage. That is if it stops at the end of the rail.
Check out the examples and easy to understand details here.
I'm not saying it's trimmed and it is almost impossible to tell from a scan (unless hacked), which this may be. Who knows?
Looks like there are some stray fibers on the top edge too

Here are the ten above and below on the original submission. At least there weren't trimmed cards in that grouping.

Holy c-rap. I'm completely ignorant on these things and even I could pick out the bat ears. Wow. The difference between me and a lot of you guys is that I may not have noticed them if I were just looking through the catalog. I need someone to call it out here, but then I can often see the problem.
