I was punished for criticizing an advertiser in a thread started by the moderator that promoted the seller’s upcoming t206 auctions on ebay.  The moderator accepted money for promoting these auctions by carterscards2006, who is a seller I described as “a real peach” and provided links of prior bad acts. I had privately contacted the moderator and told him it was a bad move to promote this guy–I was told that my beef with the seller was five years old and was debatable, and I could not protest in the thread that had been started to promote his auctions, but could start my own thread.

I found this off-putting, to say the least.  Other advertisers who come on that board are subject to criticism in the very threads they start for self-promotion, so I saw no reason to treat this seller differently.  Frankly, I thought I could have entered my remarks without first giving the moderator a heads up, which was provided in hopes he would re-think the decision to promote this seller.  As for the notion that my beef was 5 years old, I thought that was disingenuous given that the hottest topic on that board for weeks now concerns shilling in Mastro auctions from 8 or 9 years ago, besides, other complaints against him were not as old.  Sooooo, I started my own thread but also put my criticism in the moderator’s thread. As I said, for this I was punished. Make of it what you will, I know I have.

as long as the check clears....with all the shady stuff various auction houses are involved in throughout the hobby you can't be picky!

if you need your endless ebay fakes, lol look at how bad this reprint is, should i go with psa or sgc, is piedmont or sweet cap more rare, baseball should remain boring etc etc i think you can anonymize your website and still surf over there?

I committed a ghastly error - I mentioned Full Count when someone posted there asking about other vintage card discussion boards on the web. Upon inquiring about the banning, the "forum owner/peasant" told me that I had attempted a board mutiny

You'd think by now that Leon would have gotten over it. Hell, Ben and I even tried to help him one time when he was having a problem with some posting things here about him in the hopes that it would smoot things over, and yet he is sill playing this petty little game. Some people never change, which is sad.

probably just a misunderstanding, leon keeps going over and over how he hates board censorship!

It's not censorship when he deletes unflattering posts about himself and the board or might cost him money.
