These are becoming a plague to me. I have tried coming here from Peoplepc and Microsoft Explorer; but it makes no difference. I've even tried covering my bad eye, but still no luck.
Any ideas? I want to see the pictures that those xes are hiding. Question

that happens to me sometimes (not on Full Count). Its either a slow internet or pictures were taken down from the thread.

Edited to say: Download Firefox and try that, its the only browser i use and highly recommend it.

Definitely try Firefox. It's the only browser I'll use. As for the red x problem you're having Gil, it sounds like an issue on your end and not on Full Count.

If the browser change doesn't help, maybe someone else has another idea. Or ya just might have to bring it into the shop for a fixup. pale

Hope it works out for you soon.

Little red x Empty OK...

Post by Square_Frame_Ramly Thu Mar 13, 2008 10:10 pm

I think i may know whats going on. When you upload a pic from your hard drive you may have hosted it wrong or pasted it wrong.

I go to the "host an image" button then "browse", upload pic and hit host it. Then i copy the "image URL" link and then click on the "image" button next to the "host image" button and then paste it. Then hit OK.

Works for me everytime. scratch

Gil,

It's far from foolproof, but one thing that works occasionally is to right click on the little red x and select "Show Picture" or whatever it is. Works for me maybe 25% of the time, and I don't know the underlying technical explanation for why sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

Thanks all, for some reason things are better again. I will try Firefox next time this problem reoccurs (and it is certain to be back). And Joan (is that your name? Or is it Joanne, or other?) I haven't had much luck with "Show Picture" in some time now. But it did work for me in the past, long, long ago; when I was a little tyke. Before Wednesday even.

Hi Gil,

It's Joann, which ironically is probably the most phoentically intuitive and yet one of the least used versions of the name. "One word small a two n's no e". It's like a mantra or something I've had to say all my life.

Interesting comment on the right click trick, because for me as well it used to be almost bullet proof and now for some reason only works occasionally. No clue why that is.
