I don't understand. We have played with the same rules and database for years.

As far as I know there haven't been any changes.

We're not playing for money.

Alright, I'll stick around for now at least, not sure how much time I have anyways, but I will do the best I can on the draft.

Hey Quan, I had to take Mays and Gehrig there. I agree the best players are flying off the board! Many of the best leadoff guys are off the board, so I grabbed Rickey.

Same. He was #2 on my list in the third round behind Pedro. Seemed like the top SP's were going fast though. In reality, I think Henderson is probably first round worthy in fantasy and reality. Not many players could impact the game in the ways he could. Truly an incredible athlete.

Surprised Charleston lasted as long as he did. I was really torn between him and Griffey Jr. at CF. Oscar was real solid for me last year, great pick up.

I wish this league had interviews just to hear Rickey's take on the games, in the 3rd person of course. "Noone can Rickey better than Rickey." If it was up to him, a stolen base would be known as a "Rickey". Agreed, a truly great ballplayer.

For the 2011 game I created a 'draft board' that is thankfully still relevant.

Everytime one of you makes a pick, they go 'red' in my spreadsheet.

I have a target for each round and each time they go 'red' I cry silently inside.

i forgot what year does the sim go up to? 2005? getting to the crumbs with SS and 2b and catchers...maybe i break my rule and draft a pitcher early.

Anything like the sim ending before the present day, or other quirks like that, it would be great if it was disclosed beforehand, so that everyone knows, I just drafted a guy who had three of his best years from 2006-2008... I understand it is a computer game and not perfect... just that everyone should know so that they can draft accordingly... thanks.

It was disclosed that a player had to start his career by 1996. I guess it wasn't made clear that the stats only run through 2006.

yea i remember last year there was talk of the sim only going up to a certain point, went back last night to try and find the exact year but couldn't really find it.

How about East Coast v. West Coast. I think we've got Quan, Andrew, and myself on the west coast. Jamie & Chris on the east coast. Not sure about the others. May come down to who is furthest west of Champlin.

Any divisions would be better than MLB's version. I mean, Houston in AL West.
