Love both of those M1012's. How fitting that the background on the Smoky Joe Wood is so...well...smoky. Fantastic card. Wish he was in the T206 set.

I have always loved the green in the background of the Lobert card. Sweet card.

One of the nicest Loberts I've ever seen. Vibrant color, clarity.

Wow. No other word. Just, wow. Looks like it was printed yesterday, not 125 years ago. Awesome.

I end the month of May not a strong note, but a DREAM note:
Yes, the overall condition sucks (and I do hope PSA didn't screw up authentication; don't think I won't check). Yes, this card is post-WWI and thus not entirely suitable to this forum. But WOW, does it carry significant hobby weight. I've dreamed about winning it for years, so I just had to share. A great player, and a great guy, who made his living playing the greatest sport of all time.
I do love this hobby. '-)

That's a great card, Lucas.
I remember when I picked up my first Lou Gehrig ('33 Goudey) a couple of years ago. It was a card when I was younger that I never thought I'd own.
One good thing about getting older is the cards get better!

Yes, they do get better with age. That is, as long as your EARNING potential gets better. '-)
Thank you, sir, and good luck on finding your next exciting card target. It's out there. Hang in there.

Very Nice, Gehrig. It is on my list to own some day. In the early 80's I saved up enough to buy a Gehrig or a Ruth at a show. I had a chose of 3 of each and decent on the 33 Goudey Gehrig. One of my favorite purchases of all time.
By the way the Forum is gear around preWWII cards, the 30s and up just don't get much talk.
