Halper auction catalogue
Just got this in the mail the other day. I know that many of the jerseys and some of the game used stuff has been proven to be fake or not as claimed. Is there some place that has a list of everything that has been proven not to be legit? The catalogues I got also included the final sales price list and I would love to add notes to that if an item has been proven to fake or not as advertised.

Here is a list of banned COA's someone at ebay put together, I know, not the authority on such items but... Autographed items with COAs and LOAs, or references to COAs and LOAs from the following people or organizations:
ACE (AutographCertificationExperts)
Coach's Corner Sports Auctions LLC
Christopher L. Morales
CSC Collectibles
Donald Frangipani
Forensic Document Services
Hollywood Dreams
J. DiMaggio Co. / J. DiMaggio Company
Legends Sports Memorabilia
Nathan's Autographs / N.E. Autographs
Nicholas Burczyk
Pro Sports / Pro Sports Memorabilia
Rare and Signed.com
Robert Prouty
R.R.'s Sports Cards & Collectibles
SCAA / Front Page Art / Angelo Marino
Slamdunk Sportscards & Memorabilia
Sports Alley Memorabilia
Sports Management Group
Stan's Sports / Stans Sports Memorabilia
TTA Authentic (formerly STAT Authentic)
Universal Memorabilia
XMI Authentications
USA Authentics
Blank COAs and LOAs
COAs and LOAs as stand-alone items
That should pretty much eliminate the majority of those who engage in this shameful side of collectibles. As far as individual items... I have no idea how anyone could keep up with the crap that floods the market. Hope this helps Jay.

Just makes me want to go out and buy some jerseys and autographs. I just don't get it why people pay big bucks for stuff you are never totally sure the item is as claimed.
I'll stick to cards.
It's great to see spring training games on TV.

Wow, I can't believe that list is so long of scam artists. I hope they were discovered very early in their decipt and didn't make too much money.
