Tatoo, Which One

I am definately getting a tatoo soon and can't make up my mind between the N28 Ward, Anson, and Glasscock. Other 19th Century pose suggestions welcome. Looking for some help and comments.

R u planning on a tattoo of the card? Where on your body?

I'm sure you will get some funny comments about celtic symbols, Dragons, daggers, dice etc.
But on a serious note, I supply my dream card for consideration.

I'd go with an 1869 peck and snyder redstocking team card over my ass...the 1st bb card ever!

Be different, don't get a tatoo.

The tatoo is going on my left arm on the shoulder.

Jeff I guess I should have put that as an option. I have been debating this for over 2 years and doing it seems to have won out and I see no regrets because of my love for baseball.

As far as the Delehanty great card but with those huge shoulders it wouldn't fit on my arm.

Pete, if your going to put it there, where are you going to split the card?

i'm contemplating getting tattoos with my wife and 2 yr old son. he's too young to decide (guy can barely put a sentence together ) so i'll think of something for him.

Okay, if I were going to do such a thing, I would go with the Anson because he looks the most muscular and proudest, but I seriously don't think it's a good idea. But to each his own... maybe you ought to mull it over for a couple months?

i'm all for a finely executed tattoo...i love them in fact. but...it seems that a tattoo of a card standing alone may look weird in its squareness/rectangularness.

I'd consider getting the image but not the border/frame?! just my opinion.

On a more serious note...I think the Anson portrait on the OJ would really lend itself to a cool black and white tattoo!!!![img][/img]

I am thinking of having the image inside the notebook cover I recently purchased. I love the framing around the portrait. If I had a photoshop program I would give an example here.

Lee whichever you choose definitely go with a player whose holding a bat. If not all your left with is a picture of a dude on your body. A person not familiar with cards or baseball would more than likely wonder what the hell was going on. That being said I like the N28 Anson of the choices you mention. I actually think it's a pretty cool idea........

I vote for the Billy Ripken "f*** Face" card tatoo

The cards are great, but what about just the "PSA" or "SGC" header and the condition of your left shoulder. Mine would read a "1/2" Pathetic.

Yes, don't get a tattoo of a guy unless its obviously a bat holding baseball player. And having a child inked on is great but a wife/girlfriend is a no/no. I know people intend to stay together forever but reality is they don't and a future wife/girlfriend will be a tough thing to show an ex when the clothes are off. IMHO
