T206 Sweet Cap factory 649
I know Scott E. collected these for a while so he might have all the info on these cards but why is there so few subjects (34 I believe)?

Re: T206 Sweet Cap factory 649
I wish I still had my list on these. 34 sounds about right, but there may be a couple more. I searched high and low for these - had dealers search their inventories and everything. Believe it or not, even big dealers searched their inventories for me!
TBH, I never could fit these into a pattern. I always wondered why the Cobb Green Port. and Bat On Shoulder were never included. At least you had the Johnson Port., Matty White Cap, Bresnahan Port, Davis, etc.
I still have a handful of these left - around 7 or so. At one time, including my dupes, I had over 120 total! The only one I didn't have that I knew existed when I was collecting these was the Gilbert (I had seen a few, but they were high grades and I was outbid).
Again, I do wish I still had my list of these. As it could help out with how T206's were printed. They must have only used one sheet of players for this back. Also, there are NO 150 Series only cards other than Powers with the 649 SC back. It is my belief that Powers was a double print card in the 150 Series, as there are many Powers cards available (more so than other 150 Series Only cards, except maby Donlin Fielding), plus he was the only player in the 150 Series Only printed with the 649 back - so, he must have been included on all the printing sheets.
This is a great topic Lee and a mystery I could have helped maybe even solve if I would have kept my records on these (I even kept records of ones I didn't own). Maybe we can list the subjects we have now and go from there however. My Fact. 649's are below that I currently own.
McIntyre (Brooklyn) - 2
Marquard (Hands @ Thighs)
Bates - 2
Gilbert
Powers
BTW - My Gilbert is a PSA 5. For some reason, Gilbert is (most of the time) found in nicer condition than the others.

Bill Brown, Where did you come up with your possible 649's on your superset?

Re: T206 Sweet Cap factory 649
Bill sent me the checklists last week and I have yet had the time to set down and go through those like I would like - it should be interesting. Bill will probably kill me, as I haven't went through the checklists yet.

Re: T206 Sweet Cap factory 649
Lee, you shouldn't have started this thread. I had been picking these up for about the same as a regular common - until now!

BTW - just wondering if any members here pay a premium when buying these (Fact. 649's)? I am usually willing to go a few dollars more than one with a more common back, but not too high.
