American Pickers Baseball Ad

I was watching American Pickers last evening when they found a Beech Nut Tobacco Ad featuring the Dean brothers in a barn. It was in rough shape but the appraisal was $800. Nothing but praise for baseball collectibles from the show including a visit from the pres. of operations of the St. Louis Cards. Reminded me of those beautiful Lucky Strike Ads REA has up for auction this season.

I saw one of those Dizzy & Daffy Beech Nut advertisements at a National many years ago. Striking piece, don't remember the price though.

I love that show...watch it all of the time...it was a cool piece...absolutely decimated compared to the one in the Cardinals office...but still pretty presentable!!!

I saw a storage wars where one of the guys bought a storage locker that contained mostly modern sports cards...and I thought it was funny how when he went to a card store for an appraisal he was quoted book values and got really excited.

There's definitely some embellishing going on on these shows...although the dean piece seemed to be represented accurately!!!
