so true. there's certainly a part of me that misses the utter recklessness with which i debased myself on this date back in the day, but i actually had a pretty nice birthday. my kids at school totally hooked me up yesterday with a new arsenal jersey and today was indeed a pretty fun day with the family. probably one of my better birthdays as a grown-up, or at least as a perpetual adolescent who has accepted some grown-up responsibilities. anyway, thanks friends.
