Re: Stunners
My nicest E103...

Probably my sharpest remaining Goudey from a centering and sharpness standpoint

Probably doesn't belong in this thread, but I haven't posted him in a while, so ...

Recently sold (and miss) this one... It was probably my best "stunner"

Great, great cards guys.
Keith- WOW!! As a 19th century collector, those two define "stunner" for me.
Jay- You are certainly right about the lower grade cards. That E107 Wagner posted in an earlier thread absolutely stunned me.

If you've collected or handled R308s, you are aware that the quality of images are usually crap. This is the cleanest image I have ever seen on an R308. Picked it up at a non-sports show...

Amazing cards! Thanks for sharing.
Stunners are a little rare in my collection. (I could add a bunch to the Beater thread.)
These are about as stunning as I can get:

Thanks Bob. I love writing about pre-war cards.
One day I'll be able to get my hands on a Waddell, but not until after my Christmas credit card bill is paid next year.

What did a Sports Writer once say about Hack Wilson.
Something to the effect " Built Like a Beer Barrell and not unfamilar with it contents"
