Strasburg out
I wonder how good that guy that paid $20k for that Strasburg card feels right. It was just announced that he will have to have Tommy John surgery.
That's $20k that could have been spent on very nice pre-WW1 cards that have little chance of losing value

Re: Strasburg out
worst case scenario. that's at least 2 years of development down the tube. liriano is just starting to resembler his pre-TJS this year, so it could be a long road ahead for strasburg.

Re: Strasburg out
It's a tough lesson to learn. Hopefully that person has a pretty large life-savings and it won't be too much of a difficulty for him. It reminds me of the Rick Ankiel card I bought Frankly, if I had to bet on a young pitcher today, it would be David Price. That guy is huge, seems durable, and an awesome athlete. But none of them are really good bets.

Doc Gooden, youngest to 100 wins, will never see his name in the HOF. When will the new collectors/invetsors ever learn?
