Got engaged

Well, I found me a woman crazy enough to want me even with my baseball card problem. She's the best thing that has happened to me. There is no date set yet.

congrats jay! i guess you're cutting your hair, shaving off the beard...and moving into a white picket-fence house.

Yes, congrats....it's tough finding the perfect person. Glad to see she understands your card collecting. Heck, she could have asked you to sell all your cards to pay for wedding.

Bah, she knows I'll never sell my cards to make the relationship work. Did that once. Never again. The wedding is probably going to be a justice of the peace thing but we will have requisite reception because I come from a family of polka dancing, beer drinking Germans that love wedding parties.

Chris - There is always hope. I am going on 4 years with my girlfriend. First Christmas, I returned everything she got me (awful, just awful gifts). She asked what I wanted, and I said a 1975 Topps set (love that set). Since then, every birthday, anniversary, holiday, I pick out cards and that's my gift. This was last Christmas's gift

We got that part covered already. A classmate of mine is a pastor her in The Cities and is going to do the ceremony, if you can call it that, for us.
