Thanks to Trae I was able to add another incredible looking T206 HOF to my portrait collection.
You can throw the numerical # out the window that's on the slab on this one. Looks like an 8.

Thanks guys. E, you have to really look and know what your looking for to find it since it's so tiny.
Just above the letter "P" in Piedmont there is a teeny chip on the left border that just slightly nips
the blue lines over the word Piedmont. It's so slight you need a loupe to see it clearly.
I really don't think I coulda found a nicer one even in higher grade. I feel fortunate to of been able
to grab it for my collection. Although I'm not a re-submitter of cards it would be interesting to see
what Psa would grade this. It will more than likely though stay in it's current holder.

wow i think that's more than fair...the EPDG back usually has more of a premium attached than OM.

(and espn has had some really good 30/30 series)

I didn't realize Bancroft was a player-manager later in his career. I collect his earlier issues on the NY Giants, and I've never seen that one before. Nice card.

Why is the Lord an "A"? I would need to see it close up, but that bottom edge looks like a factory cut.

I surmise that some past owner had "glued" down the bottom of the photo. As you know they came with the photo only attached across the top. Other than that possibility I did not see anything with the piece that would lead to an "A."
