real or not?

This has all the red flags of being fake. The card even looked fake to me at first glance, but look at the right side of the back, it appears to be embossed. Personally, I wouldn't risk any money on it, but it's hard to fake the embossing. Definitely a card I would want to see in person.

My money says it's fake because the seller is well aware of slabbing, yet is leaving a ton of money on the table by not getting it graded. Odds are, you won't get your money back, or be able to get ahold of the guy again after the auction.

No doubt it my mind that it's a fake. The border color is way off, as is the card stock and quality of plank's portrait. The back might look like it's embossed, but if you held it in person I bet it's not. Maybe the copy was able to pick up impressions of the embossing from the image it was copied from.

Add in the fact that the seller used one of our favorite "scumbag" giveaway lines in his description:

I have had this card looked at by an individual who has been involved with the industy for 40+ years now, and I have been told this IS NOT a reprint, and NOWHERE on the card does it state to be a reprint.

Fake all the way....too bad that seller has perfect feedback.

Also, his other auctions have graded cards and he is well aware of grading process. I just think he may have been dupped in to buying it and is now trying to sell it.
