ack!!! Not even a good fake. Paper stock doesn't even look right. Let's hope the guy who thinks his Thorpe that looks like this reappears and starts making a stink again.
Re: bad psa/legendary
UGH that's pretty bad. Pretty sure anyone with any basic knowledge of M101-5 could point that one out as fake. Nice try with the fake staining and edge wear too.
Jay, I remember that Thorpe guy, he was a nutcase!

Really what are the criteria for getting a job as a grader at PSA? I believe the reprinted M101-5's with the wide borders should be one of the easiest fakes/reprints to identify. Anyone who has spent a week collecting vintage cards could spot these.
As for Legendary, they clearly just looked at the holder before accepting it. How many people did this card pass by at that company before it was listed in their catalog and online? Scary...

Re: bad psa/legendary
from the scan if you just artificially age that thorpe a litle and give it some wear, it'd be a more believable fake than the mastro jax. besides the big white gap, the pixelation is more evident on the image of the jax and the photo has been cropped (right foot/extra space chopped off)

What an awesome collection of mid-high grade OJ's they have though, replete with a new pose.

The fake Jackson has been pulled. Good thing Legendary has collectors to run quality control checks on the content of their auctions!
