Format change
All I ask is that when you vote, make a post that says you voted. I don't need to know who you voted for, just that you voted. You can vote for as many cards as you like or you can a vote and vote for no one. 75% will be needed to get voted in. Please refer back to the nomination thread to see what the cards look like if you are not familiar with them.
The only way to vote is to be a registered member, so if you've been putting it off, now's the perfect time to sign and make your voice heard.

Re: Format change
I voted
Question: is 75% of votes even possible for one card? Maybe just take the 4-5 with the most votes?

The percentages listed next to the card do not correlate to the percentage of voters who voted for that card. It correlates to the percentage of votes as compared to the other cards - such that sum all of the percentages total 100%. I doubt there is a way to toggle that to make it closer to the way we need it calculated. In its absence, that is why we need each person to say they voted. In doing so, then we can count the number of people (overall) that voted and manually compare that with the number of votes a particular card received in order to see if the 75% threshold was reached.

Re: Format change
You might want to set up a separate polling forum and create simple yes/no threads for each nominee to more accurately monitor percentages. Maybe have a certain number of nominees each round of voting, which you could schedule every month or quarterly or something like that.
I didn't vote here by the way, just posting.

Re: Format change
I thought about doing it that way but couldn't come up with a good way to do it. Doing a few cards each month isn't a bad idea and would keep from overrunning the portal, which a lot of people use.

Re: Format change
yea i'm slow...how does the 75% thing go again? right now the % is only applied for each card vs all the other cards correct (all cards' % add up to 100%)? and not the % of yes vs no for each individual card....
i haven't voted, want to get this right...it's important to me!

Re: Format change
I've asked that each person that vote state so here but I think I might redo this and use the idea presented. It'll probably save a lot of confusion.
To hell with it. I'm gonna redo this and post 5 cards each month and keep taking nominations
