December 2009 Pickups

It's been a while since I've posted in a pickup thread! This trio is coming to me via blockbuster trade from fellow board member Steve Yawitz. Thanks for the swap Steve! It's always a pleasure dealing with you. Looking forward to seeing them when I return to Canada for Christmas.

great start to december ben....found these when i got back. the marquard & my ended trip reminded me i had marquard's passport at one time (in his 60's). it had his sig in 2 places and and he's travelled to london etc. found it a lil creepy that i had another man's passport so i sold it.

Yeah, I clearly jumped the gun posting mine so early. It's been so long since I posted in a pickup thread, I was getting antsy! Thanks again.

I know the feeling. I was worried I'd not have any more '09 pick-ups, so it's nice to have something new on the horizon - especially via trade.

It has been an interesting (and busy) month so far. I picked up a few Goudeys for the HOF collection and decided to go after the E103 HOFer set too. As for the Goudey HOFer set, picking these up gave me my first of the four Ruths and put me over the 33% complete mark (to 35% to be exact).






Here are the E103s. I actually picked up the Bender a couple months ago, but the others were recent.

Nice e103s. I was a past owner of the Collins. I guess it means I've been in the hobby awhile.

Fine, fine, fine. Ben's D359 Bender* and a handful of E93s. So I can break my "No More Sets" edict and begin another ultimately unsuccessful attempt to complete something.

And nice E103s. I'd really like to land a Cobb or Wagner from that set.


* Was that card yours at one point? I wanna say that it was, but that might just be because 74.6 percent of prewar cards in circulation have passed through your hands. You could look it up.

picked up this fantastic foxx recently...and this one made it safely (and scd red is a buyer's delight). had a great deal on an sgc60 a couple years ago that was of course lost in the mail (happens more than you think).
