Pete - glad to see you like the Lajoie. I really like the cards I received in our trade as well! Trades where both parties are elated with their cards really make this Hobby enjoyable.

Re: Post your most lovable beater card.
Here's another one for the beater gallery. One of the rattier cards in the e96 set I'm working on, but I don't mind cards in this kind of condition at all really.
Re: Post your most lovable beater card.
Picked up this great beater. I figured my collection was missing a good beater, so I added this one.

Nice Strang Scott-mine is raw and has a crease across his chest. That is only about the 4th or 5th BL Strang I have seen. You know my soft spot! I seem to remember seeing that card on the 54 and trying to get it with no luck. GOOD JOB!
I have 7 of the 9 Baltimore players with BL-find the Cassidy and Jackson and the trade is on!

Congrats on the T205 Drum! I remember bidding a token bid on it to keep an eye out for it. Great pickup!

Welcome to the forum, David! Your name sounds familiar - are you an OBC member? I was part of the group up until a few years ago.

Those are some Tiptons to be proud of!
ps. Gil your Mayo Delahanty is a beaut.

Thanks. Yes, I am an OBC member, which means that lots of my cards as messed up. I meant to write a little into in my first post but I forgot.
I hope the cards I posted weren't too new for the standards of this group, but those were the scans I had handy.

No worries at all. We like to keep it mostly prewar, but a few 50's cards here and there won't hurt anyone.

OBC is a close knit baseball card collectors group that focuses on helping out the fellow collector. Members post their wantlists and cards are swapped and often given away with the aim of "hitting" each other's list as much as possible. Rarely if ever does money change hands. Most of the cards dealt with in the group are raw/low grade. There is a bit of prewar activity but the majority of swaps involve 50's-70's cards. It's a really nice group with a great bunch of passionate collectors.
Here is a LINK to the OBC website. What did I miss, David?

I'd say that you described the essence of OBC fairly well there.
I've got a small number of pre-war cards. I'm working on collecting St. Paul Saints and Minneapolis Millers as one of my sidelines.
