Ebay....

Yeah...when they make everyone who has a Ebay account accept Paypal, of course this unit of Ebay will see a rise in revenue.

Over the past two years, ebay has made a series of changes which has made dealing with them sufficiently cumbersome, that I usually shop elsewhere.

The changes have greatly slowed down my ebay usage.

And I love this quote from Donahoe: "The eBay you knew is not the eBay we are, or the eBay we will become." I wonder if he realized that eBay's users probably perceive that statement much, much differently than he intended.

he obviously doesn't understand that people like familiarity. Totally changing and revamping eBay is cost many long time users. But I doubt they are worreid about that since they are only interested in sellers that can operate at Powerseller levels. The small time people like us who made eBay what it is today don't matter to them.

All this means that there is now an opening for someone to step in and do what eBay did in its early days since they are no longer interested in operating that way.
